Please reserve Sunday 31 July 2011 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Duffry rovers GAA club (1961) we will also celebrate the 25th anniversary of the clubs first county senior football championship (1986) and the seven in the row senior football championship winning teams 1986 to 1992, there will be loads of activities for young and old alike and the venue is the club grounds in Coolree.

The President of the GAA . Mr Christy Cooney will be in attendance to unveil a memorial plaque. . Preparations are in full swing in the club at the minute for our 50th anniversary day on the 31st of July and a full schedule of the day will be announced in the next week or two. Clothes Collection The next clothes collection for computers for Caim School will be this Wednesday at 10am. . Your support would be appreciated.

CAIM ATHLETIC CLUB

The athletic club training is held every Monday night at the school 7-8 pm. The club would appreciate any parents help in running the training.

FLAPPER DOG RACING

The Flapper Racing has commenced again in Caim and it is on every Friday Evening at 7.30p.m.

DOG SHOW

The Minerock Harriers Hunt Club held their 7th Annual Dog Show in Caim on Sunday 5th June. We are a Registered Foot Pack with the Irish Foot Harriers Association, and the Hunting Association of Ireland. Matt Slevin, Catherine Slevin, and Tom Blackburn are the organisers of the Dog Show every year. Robert Rackard kindly donates the field for our Dog Show every year.

Red Mills sponsored dog food, caps, and t-shirts this year, which we gave as prizes to the Champion of each class, the Champion, and Reserve Champion Puppy, the Overall Champion, and Reserve Champion of Show. Main sponsors of the dog show were Redmills , Clokes Music Shop, the Wexford Farmers Co. Op, and Slane Dogfoods. We had 60 classes which consisted of Hounds, Terriers, Lurchers, Whippets, and Pets. This year we had a Champion Puppy Class for the Hounds, Terriers, Lurchers, and Whippets. Then the winner of each class are put in the ring together to pick the Champion and Reserve Champion Puppy.
