Recent Arrests Include Larceny and Domestic
Police said store security watched as Timothy Federowicz and Megan Sciarrino stuffed a Kitchen Aid tea kettle and Ralph Lauren towels in a bag and then leave the store without paying. Federowicz and Sciarrino were detained until police arrived and charged them both with sixth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny.
The two were released on a promise to appear in court on July 12.
Suspect Gets Away with Two Cigarette Cartons
Police said a man entered the Food Fare Market on East Broadway at 4 p.m. on June 24 and stole two cartons of cigarettes. The suspect reportedly attempted to use a credit card, but it was declined. He then took off and fled the scene in a red Honda with the cartons, which have a value of $179.
Domestic Dispute Leads to Arrest
A Surf Avenue man was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and interfering with an emergency call in relation to a domestic disturbance on June 23.
Police said they responded to a Surf Avenue residence at 3:15 p.m. and arrested Adrian Plaza, 28. He reportedly got in an argument with his companion and allegedly grabbed the companion’s arm and took the phone away from the victim.
Plaza was released on a promise to appear in court on June 24.
Pedestrian Struck; Car Takes Off
Police said a female pedestrian was struck by a car near 1448 Boston Post Road, at the Roses Mill Road intersection, at about 2:30 p.m. on June 24.
The vehicle, a white sedan, reportedly left the scene. The victim declined medical attention, police said.
