Constellation invests in home solar firm Astrum
Astrum Solar said Monday that Constellation Energy Group Inc. agreed to invest an undisclosed amount in the home solar power installer.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Annapolis Junction, Md.-based Astrum said the equity investment will support future growth and expansion.
Constellation, based in Baltimore, Md., said residential is the fastest growing segment of the solar power industry and Astrum's business complements the company's commercial solar business as well as its residential solar offerings through BGE Home.
Astrum Solar serves homeowners and small businesses in Delaware; Maryland; Massachusetts; Michigan; New Jersey; New York; Ohio; Pennsylvania; Virginia; Washington, D.C.; and West Virginia.
