Hello everyone,
It's time to sign-up for Bear Crew shifts. This is one of the top ways we can recruit new members. -I'd recommend biking or walking to campus. Campus will be crazy, and the cops write tickets despite it being Move-In Weekend. If you have to drive, feel free to park on my street. -Wear closed shoes and appropriate length shorts. -Hand out our business cards to people when you are done helping them move in. -Meal vouchers will be given for those who want to eat in the Blair-Shannon dining hall for free after their shifts. You will get a voucher upon checkout, although they are dated and timed for specific meals. (Morning shifts get lunch vouchers, Afternoon shifts get dinner vouchers.) Friday the 20th Streeter, John? Shift 1: 8AM-10AM: Squirts, David Stockwood, Heather Shift 2: 10AM-12:30PM: Squirts, Fingerbang, Keith, Heather Shift 3: NOON-2:30PM: Squirts, Beckham, Fingerbang, D-Murph, Keith, Heather Shift 4: 2PM-4PM: Squrits. Hello everyone,
School resumes in 4 weeks! I hope everyone is having a sucessful summer, whether you are playing club, summer league, or working out on your own. Move-In weekend is the best opportunity to recruit. There are a number of events and activities that we participate in to recruit. FRIDAY, AUGUST 20: Bear Crew shifts. Times to be announced later. (We help students move into the residence halls.) SATURDAY, AUGUST 21: Bear Crew shifts. Times to be announced later. (We may also play pick-up afterwords.) SUNDAY, AUGUST 22: Bear Crew shifts. Times to be announced later. SUNDAY, AUGUST 22: New Student Festival: 2pm (We will have a booth with 4 workers while others are outside representing by wearing jerseys and throwing hammers and other throws I will complain about if you ever threw them in a game.) We will also have a team dinner in the evening following pick-up, time and location to be announced later. I hope everyone who is in Springfield this weekend will be able to help out. We will have sign-up posts in a few weeks. Now is the time to start preparing for the Fall Season if you haven't begun to already!

Hey everyone,
Many of you know, but I am working on a political campaign this summer for a man named Allen Icet. He is a Republican seeking the office of State Auditor. He has another Republican challenger, so there will be a primary on August 3rd. If any of you have free time, take a look at his website: www.icetforauditor.com I'm actually in a commerical for a whole 2 seconds! Though many of you aren't political or Republican, it's still important to be educated on issues that affect us as Missourians. I enjoy state politics more than national ones because they affect us more directly. Here are some webstites that update the local politcial news affecting Missouri: www.mopns.com www.firedupmissouri.com (a more liberal blog) www.hrccmo.org (my employer, i'm being contracted out the Icet for Auditor campaign) www.house.mo.gov (Missouri House of Representatives) www.johncombest.com Enjoy! www.johnsellars.org - State Rep. Candidate www.melissaleach.org - State Rep. Candidate www.mogop.com - Missouri Republican Party www.greenecountymo.org - Greene County www.greenecountygop.com - Greene County Republicans

As some of you may know I am working for the House Republican Campaign Committee. At our training seminar last week in Jeff City we learned about effective media tools and messages.
This is an example of a great ad gone terribly bad by the end. Hope you enjoy! I may be in a commercial for another campaig (that is if my footage makes the cut!) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HQdTgkY321s http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GabMEHfCjT0

1.) Playing Ultimate with Watson again.
2.) Watching Sydney tear it up on Offense playing Middle by making sweet catches and open cuts. 3.) Beating a high school team 7-0 in ten minutes to start the day off. We had 8 throws on offense: Watson had 7 hucks for assists and the other throw hit a player in the back of the head. 4.) Losing 5-1 to an old team and coming back and winning 7-6 Universe Point. 5.) The other team turned it over on Universe Point by calling a timeout during cap. 6.) My hammer for a score. 7.) Only having one turnover - a throwing error at the worst possible time. No drops either! 8.) Winning quarterfinals 7-5 9.) Sitting out semifinals, expecting to come in for a sick player 10.) Beer, Gatorade, and Water in my cooler in my new car, but no ice to keep it cool. 11.) Watching Doug, Steph, and Jeremy win finals. Amazing hucks and sky's. 12.) Driving there and back |
