College Captains and Contacts,
Sentinel, a new St. Louis-based open team, will be holding open tryouts on May 16-17 in St. Louis. Sentinel was formed around a core of men from 2009 Mixed Nationals Qualifier One Trick Pony with the intention of competing against the best teams in the Central Region, and we are looking for top club and college players in the area to complete our roster. Time commitment includes roughly one tournament per month prior to the series and several full team practice/party weekends throughout the season, as well as weekly practices for local players. Players interested in attending tryouts should join our Google Group at http://groups.google.com/group/sentinel-tryouts to receive further information and updates, but feel free to email the captains at sentinel.ultimate@gmail.com with any additional questions regarding the team or the tryout process. Please pass the above tryout bulletin along to your respective teams as well as any other players, teams, or groups that you think might be interested; specific player suggestions to us are encouraged. We are excited about a competitive 2010 club season and are ready to make some noise in the region. Joe MacDonald Kevin McCarthy Howie Place 2010 Sentinel Captains |

Hey Dave, this is the team I was talking about at practice on Tuesday so here is your chance to tryout for them. I highly encourage anybody that might be slightly interested to try out for this team and see what they're about. This is a great group of guys that know the game very well. Even if you don't make the team, I think just going to the tryouts will be helpful and open you eyes to the club ultimate scene. And you will start to get your name out there for the future. And who knows..if things all work out you might end up playing with Jeremy, Wax, and/or myself.
And since we are on the topic of club ultimate...please strongly consider playing the club season in the fall for all you returning players. Either with this open team, as a open team that you guys start, or with one of the mixed teams here in Springfield. The amount of improvement from doing this will be huge. -------------------- Winning isn't everything, but wanting to win is.
