I was wondering what people's plans were for this tournament.

Are people playing with club teams or do we want to take down an Open Springfield Team where anyone can play? Do we have enough interest for a drinking team and a competitive team or enough women for their own team?

Brad, don't know what you've done so far, having a thread on the board is always a good start but...

Get on the phone and call everyone who has ever played Ultimate to your knowledge, and talk to them personally, leave messages if they don't answer. This is how I built a team each year for the past 4 years, cause people just don't check the board enough, or won't post for whatever reason.

This is a fun tourney, so people who have been before usually want to go again, but you may have to do some convincing to others, remember awesome party, camping, lots of ultimate, Big tourney where everyone gets a shot and you will play good teams, teams on your par, bad teams.

Lastly, people are going to commit and then back out, every year I put together a squad of 17 going the week before Solstice, only for that to turn into 9 or 10 by game time Saturday. The exception being last year, where I had 21 which dwindled to 15. Stay with though, the guys who do go will have a great time, and those who stayed home can hear about how awesome it was.

Anyway, this is just advice you can choose to do with what you wish, but way to step up and start putting this thing together, anyone else who reads this I strongly encourage you to go, its always a great time, and always great competition.

Don't forget to put in a bid, they tend to fill up quick. And Fighting Cocks is not okay to use as the name.

Thanks for the advice P TAC. I'll start calling people and convincing. I'm getting a lot of maybes though. Any suggestions for a team name? I am about as creative as a rock.
