I was wondering if anybody was interested in playing some disc golf this fall. I was wanting to try and get into it a little more, and maybe try and play some tournaments in the spring.

I work 1 block from the McBride course and was going to start going once a week on my lunch break to play. If anybody is interested in getting a weekly thing together, post it up here. I can do a lunch break pretty much anytime between 11-2

Dudessss... Check out this video.

When I was in Denver, we were joking about ways to communicate better to the membership as a whole. As a joke, I suggested to Tom that he should do weekly FDR "fireside chat" style videos on youtube.

If you are interested in playing Club season then I encourage you to attend the Springfield Combine tryouts on May 9th.

The tryouts will be primarily aimed at recruiting and filling the roster for Troy's Bucket. However, with the players that do not make that roster, and for those who are not interested in playing with TB, we will be gaugeing the interest and numbers of forming a second competitive team in the Springfield area (either coed or open depending on interest level).

The team will be self-sufficient with its own leadership and not associated with myself or Troy's Bucket (other than possible scrimmaging and travel arrangements).

With Patrick no longer putting together a team, and from the interest he was able to gather in people playing club season, I thought this would be a good opportunity to judge the club interest level in Springfield all at the same time. Like all the old people have said on multiple occasions, club season is so important in growing as an ultimate player and will make you even better come next college season.

Tryout Information:
Sunday, May 9th
Registration will be from 9:30-10:30. It's very important to show up sometime within this hour to register and cleat up.
Tryouts begin at 10:30 sharp and will not include anything too strenuous (mostly just games of Ultimate).

Callback/Team Information:
A second "invite-only" tryout for Troy's Bucket will take place at Mayfest Memorial in Kansas City on May 22nd/23rd. If a second team is to form, I would recommend that this be there first tournament to fully guage interest level.

So here are the clinics:

Hickory Hills Middle School (6-8 Grade)
Mondays April 19th through May 17th - 2:45 - 4:30
This one was a last minute thing. The flyers are going out this week. Its a free program although I don't know how many we're going to get signed up.

Wilson's Creek Intermediate (5th/6th Grade)
Thursdays April 22nd - May 27th - 4:00-5:00
This one is my school and should be awesome. I just started taking registrations but hope to have a bunch of kids in it. I would love to have some players come out and play with the kids each week.

If you want more details, please just ask. If you can participate at any of these day or times, please let me know.
